The hardware  is a little thicker and more sturdy than the original so there may be some older hoods that you find are too tight when latching it onto the screw. To solve this problem you can grind the hardware on the strap down just a little, or use a soldering iron on the screw to heat up the epoxy and turn the screw out a turn.
